Adventure Leadership Program Overview

You can choose to go on one trip, or you can sign up for a "package" of trips that take place throughout the year.  Most ALP trips are divided according to recommended experience and maturity levels.  After you submit your registration we will contact you to make sure that the level you signed up for is a good fit, and to answer any questions you may have.

We recognize that every teen develops at a different pace.  Accordingly, ALP is divided into three levels that correspond roughly with age. 

  • Base Camp: Beginning level for ages 13 - 15 who do not have much experience in the outdoors or away from home.
  • Vista:  Intermediate level for ages 15 - 17 who have some experience away from home and some experience in the outdoors.
  • Summit:  Advanced level for ages 17 - 19 who have both outdoor experience and more experience traveling and being away from home.

 

You can call us at any time if you wish to discuss where your teen fits best.  After you register we will also contact you to make sure your teen is in the best place and to answer any questions you may have,

Provided below is a listing of trips and events according to level.  You can sign up for one or more of these events as a single experience.  Or, if you wish to sign up for the "Year-round" package, you will not only receive a discount, but your teen will be able to take advantage of a more elaborate progression of experiences.  Either way, we believe ALP is a great value that your teen will come to cherish for years to come.
