If you are a teenager looking for a fun and exciting way to meet new friends and see the world, ALP is a great way to do it.  If you are a parent looking for opportunities for your child to learn new skills that will help shape their character, ALP is a proven and affordable option.

Most teens think the trips are the best part of ALP.  And let me tell you, they are very good.  ALP participants get to paddle, hike, and ski all over North America.  Along the way, they learn the skills needed to plan and do trips on their own.  Some ALP participants will even fully gain the skills to become a trail staff.

Good as the trips are, they are really just a means to another end.  By taking part in ALP, participants gain tremendous experience and insight about themselves, others, and the natural world--gaining both confidence and a greater sense of personal humility along the way.  ALPers come away from this program with greater self-awareness.  They learn that character and inclusion are important.

You can be sure that WI takes care of all the details related to having a safe and fun outdoor adventure.  We also have a warehouse full of gear and 30 years of experience behind us.  Best of all, our Trail Staff are highly skilled and very compassionate people.  You will be thrilled to have them as mentors!

Please call us if you have any questions about the Adventure Leadership Program.  We hope to see you on the trail!
